Arrghh...

I can't get an accurate weight and this is really bothering me. My digital scale is all over the place and sometimes I've lost weight and sometimes I've gained. I've visually lost weight in my face so I know my diet is working. I feel like I'm playing a game where I don't know the rules and my only way of keeping score is broken. I'm sure my doctor wouldn't let me use his scale every Monday...

One Week and Four Pounds Thinner

I've lost four pounds! Count'em four! I couldn't be happier to show some results, so quickly. Usually on the diets I try it takes a month to lose four pounds. They weren't kidding when they said Phase one of the Atkins diet was a detox off carbs. I had no idea just how many processed carbs I was eating until I had to cut them. This week was tough, I was physically going through withdrawl; headachs, stomach cramps, nausea and mood swings included! I never thought I'd get addicted to something but I guess carbs were it. Too bad there's no way to go cold turkey on carbs. To keep my self in control I'm creating a food diary although I've always hated it when I've had to it for other diets the difference this time will be couting carbs not calories. This week will be better.

The First and Second Day...

Well here I am a day late and with nothing to wear... Actually the nothing to wear bit is what prompted this diet. When you're as big as I am shopping is nearly impossible and far too expensive on a student's budget.

Well I promised facts and figures and hear they are:

Weight: 271 pounds

ST Goal: 27 pounds

Goal Weight: 120 Pounds

Size: 24

Goal Size: 12-8 (hopefully 8)

And We're Off!

Dear Readers and Other Figments of My Imagination;

Before we start this blog will have very little to do about pets. I neither own a canary or know someone who owns a canary. You have been warned!

About Me: I'm 24, in school, and weigh a whooping 260+ pounds. Oh and I'm short.

The Goal: be down to a size 12 or less in 2 years and keep it off.

The Diet: Atkins with the help of Over Eaters Anonymous and this blog where I'll Keep track of weight, measurements and overall mental and physical health.
